GETTING HERE

We encourage the use of public transport or alternatives like e-scooter, ride shares (taxi), cycling and walking, where possible. Western Springs Park is an easy stroll or bike with the North western cycle path near Ponsonby, Grey Lynn, Westmere, Morningside and Western Springs.

🚌 PUBLIC TRANSPORT


The roads around Western Springs can get very busy during Pasifika Festival, so we strongly recommend planning your journey using public transport where possible.


There are regular bus and train services to Western Springs from transport hubs across Auckland. 


We recommend using the Auckland Transport journey planner to see the public transport options for travelling to the festival.

PARK & RIDE


We're providing a free Park & Ride service from Unitec Mt Albert Campus to Gate C at Western Springs.


Here's how it works:

  1. Park your car at Unitec carpark (Gate 4, 154 Carrington Road, Auckland 1025).
  2. Take a short 5-10 minute shuttle bus to the festival at Western Springs.
  3. To return to Unitec carpark, use the same bus stop outside Gate C at Western Springs.

Changing facilities for young children and babies are located in MOTAT. Please head to the MOTAT website for more details. 

The festival gets busy. It is not advisable but you may provided it is on a leash. 

Yes, this is family-friendly event.

Pasifika Festival is a smoke-free event. That includes vaping. 

No, none of the events for Pasifika Festival are ticketed this year.

Pasifika Festival is an alcohol-free event.

Yes, the festival is wheelchair accessible. Accessible drop-off points are available along Great North Road.

Some Pasifika Festival stallholders will have EFTPOS available for payment. Cash-out services will be available on-site. We recommend you come prepared with cash to avoid long lines at cash points.  

You can report lost property at the Information Booth located on the map above.  

St John medical teams are on site both days of the festival. If you or someone in your group suffers a medical emergency at the event, please alert a volunteer or staff member who will call for assistance. The St Johns tent location is indicated on the map above.

We aim to divert 80% of festival waste from landfill , and 100% of food serve-ware at the festival is recyclable or compostable

Bags must always remain on you, there is no bag check-in available. If bags or belongings are left around, they will be handed to lost property. 

You can refill your water bottle at the public water refill stations in the venue, and a small selection of vendors will be selling bottled water.
