Tātaki Auckland Unlimited (TAU) welcomes entries to the Iconic Auckland Eats – People’s Choice Competition (the Competition). By entering the Competition, entrants are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the following terms and conditions.
A. Competition
- To participate, entrants must complete the TAU ‘Iconic Auckland Eats’ nomination form online at www.iconiceats.co.nz or through links on the Iconic Auckland Eats Facebook or Instagram pages.
- The competition runs from 16 October 2023 at 12:01 AM to 16 November 2023 at 11:59 PM. Entries received outside this period will not be accepted. Entries are deemed received when the nomination form is received by Restaurant Hub, not at the time of transmission by the entrant. Invalid entries include those that are late, misdirected, illegal, incomplete, or illegible. TAU and Restaurant Hub are not responsible for such entries or for errors, technical malfunctions, or communication failures.
- Entrants must ensure all submitted information is accurate, current, and complete. TAU and Restaurant Hub may disqualify entrants who fail to comply with these terms and conditions.
- Entry is open only to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or older.
- Each person may submit one nomination per dish, per eatery. Multiple entries for the same dish by the same person will not be counted, but different dishes or dishes from different eateries may be nominated.
- The promoter is TAU, with the competition hosted and managed by Restaurant Hub Ltd, located at Level 2, NZME Central, 2 Graham St, CBD, Auckland.
B. Entries, selection and Prizes draw
- The winner will be decided on 17 November 2023 and notified via email by 15 December 2023. The announcement will coincide with the release of the 100 Iconic Eats, no later than 15 February 2024.
- The winner will be selected based on the story submitted about the dish on the nomination form, as judged by a panel of moderators.
- If the winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within five days of notification, or if their details are incorrect, TAU may select another winner.
- Acceptance of the prize will be confirmed in an email detailing the prize terms and conditions. If the winner declines the prize, it will be forfeited, and a new winner may be selected.
- The prize will be awarded to the email address from which the nomination was submitted. TAU and Restaurant Hub are not responsible for disputes regarding the email address used.
- Prizes will be delivered within 28 days of the winner being confirmed, where possible.
- All decisions made by TAU and Restaurant Hub are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
C. Prizes
- The prize includes 100 Iconic Eats vouchers valid for 12 months from the winner's notification date.
- The vouchers allow the winner to enjoy all 100 Iconic Eats without charge within the specified period.
- If a dish from the Iconic Eats Top 100 is unavailable, the venue may provide an alternative of equivalent value.
- The prize cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or services, is non-transferable, and cannot be combined with other offers.
- If the prize or part of it becomes unavailable, TAU reserves the right to amend or cancel the prize.
- In the event of a COVID-19 resurgence, TAU may adjust competition and winner announcement dates.
D. Privacy
- By entering the competition, participants accept these terms and conditions.
- Once the winner accepts the prize, their first and last name may be used in TAU communications, emails, media, and social platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
- The winner agrees to participate in promotional activities related to the competition.
- TAU and Restaurant Hub collect personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 to conduct the giveaway, notify the winner, and verify their identity.
