The Reptile Park at Ti Point, Leigh, is New Zealand's only zoo specialising in reptiles. It is privately owned and operated and exhibits and breeds both New Zealand and exotic species. The natural environment has been maintained, making the setting of the park unique, with enclosures set amongst native bush over looking the Hauraki Gulf.
A comprehensive selection of the reptile world, with species from all four orders – tortoises, lizards, tuatara and alligator are there for enjoyment as well as education. Combined with visits to the Goat Island Marine Reserve and Matakana Village makes for a great day out with a swim at Matheson Bay if the weather permits.
The park is open to the public 7 days a week from 10am - 5pm.
