The New Zealand Veterans Band was formed 12 years ago in response to an official invitation from the Royal Passchendaele Society to support their ANZAC Day service that year. Since then, they’ve played across New Zealand and internationally in Belgium and France.
The New Zealand Veterans band is made up of 23 former professional musicians, with an average of 23 years’ service each and have won numerous national and solo ensemble events. This is an Auckland first not to be missed!
This performance is part of the Auckland Live Morning Melodies 2025 season.
In its 24th year, this much-loved monthly concert series features a fantastic line-up of brass bands, jazz ensembles, and more. Arrive early and connect with friends new and old over complimentary tea and biscuits before the show.

Local tip He tīwhiri mō te rohe
Leave plenty of spare time in case there’s traffic on the motorway or around the Takapuna village. Even better – get dinner or a pre-show drink nearby so you can soak up the bustling beachfront vibe.
