Formed in 1948 and with an average playing experience of forty-four years, the band comprises 40+ of some of New Zealand’s finest players who have played for many brass bands in New Zealand and overseas.
Kumeu Vintage Brass believe that like a vintage wine, they improve with age. Their melodious tones have attracted the attention of Auckland and National brass critics. This performance is part of the Auckland Live Morning Melodies 2024 season.
In its 23rd year, this much-loved monthly concert series features a fantastic line-up of brass bands, jazz ensembles, and more. Arrive early and connect with friends new and old over complimentary tea and biscuits before the show.

Bruce Mason Centre is 15-20 minutes by car from the city centre, and easily accessible by bus. The closest paid parking is the Killarney Street car park, operated by Auckland Transport.
