As you start the walk, the Suspension Bridge over Wairoa Stream greets you, and you'll be crossing it in no time. Although there is a steep climb after the bridge, the track is well-maintained, and stairs will guide you along the way. During the walk, you'll find wooden benches, perfectly placed for taking a break and soaking up the magnificent scenery. 

As you continue, the track leads to a spectacular lookout platform that offers splendid views of the Wairoa Reservoir. If you're up for more adventure, you can continue along the gravel road to reach a dam, making it an exciting loop. 

The route also includes a scenic picnic area and public toilets, where you can take a break, rest, and enjoy the natural beauty around you. While dogs are allowed on the track, they must be kept under control, on leash, and away from the dam and water supply.
