Have you ever gazed up at the night sky and wondered what secrets the stars hold? Are you fascinated by the vastness and mystery of space? If so, we invite you to come on a journey with us to the stars.
Stardome Observatory & Planetarium, located in the stunning Maungakiekie One Tree Hill, have been sharing their love and knowledge of all things space since 1967. Here, you can enjoy live presenter-led shows and films in the state-of-the-art 360-degree indoor dome planetarium, complete with comfortable, reclining seats.
Their selection of educational and entertaining films caters to people of all ages, and we even offer sci-fi evenings for those with a taste for adventure. Join on a tour of the celestial sights above Auckland in "Our Night Sky," where an expert astronomer will show you the exact positions of the stars in the sky on the day of your visit and answer any questions you may have.
After each evening show (weather permitting), you can experience telescope viewing in the courtyard and witness the beauty of the planets up close.
Stardome is the perfect place to visit with your family, with shows that will entertain kids of all ages. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making your visit a comfortable and enjoyable one.
So come, sit back, watch as the sky aligns above you, and the wonders of space come to life at Stardome Observatory & Planetarium.
