Parnell Gallery is one of New Zealand’s longest standing dealer galleries, representing and exhibiting a diverse range of established contemporary New Zealand painters, sculptors, and printmakers.
Established in 1976 by Co-director Sally Souness, the gallery has shaped a solid reputation for bringing New Zealand art to the foreground, offering an engaging and insightful experience for national and international collectors. Housed across two spaces within a beautiful heritage building, the first floor gallery hosts monthly exhibitions, where you are warmly invited to join the artists and the gallery team for early-evening preview events. Our street level space displays curated stock work including original paintings, sculpture, limited edition prints, and works on paper, by our gallery artists.
Open Monday to Sunday, Parnell Gallery provides an inclusive and welcoming experience with a knowledgeable team, connecting you with engaging artworks for your space, whether you’re an experienced collector or just beginning your journey. The gallery offers bespoke framing for works on paper and paintings, and a complimentary photoshop service if you’d like a greater sense of how an artwork will feel in situ, in the spaces you have in mind.
For those based further afield, we provide a comprehensive service to send artworks nationally or internationally with reputable and reliable packaging and freight companies.
Just outside the gallery doors, an abundance of eateries such as Gerome for modern Greek cuisine, and Auckland’s Italian cuisine icon, Non-Solo Pizza, offer spots to relax, unwind, or celebrate after a stroll through the village taking in the many galleries and boutique stores Parnell is known for.
