The ultra-contemporary Māngere Arts Centre is a welcoming home for Māori and Pasifika visual and performing arts. You’ll find that the entire venue, from its curated galleries to bold architecture, is designed to celebrate artists of all backgrounds and ages. Discover your new favourite artist, watch community theatre and peruse craft markets at this premier council-owned complex.
Expect beautiful facilities and a real community vibe – there’s even a community café that serves coffee, treats and wider social initiatives. Within the complex, the 230-seat theatre transforms to suit a variety of shows including film festivals and Auckland Pride extravaganzas. With two galleries and a multi-purpose courtyard to boot, there’s no limit to events held at the Māngere Arts Centre.
