Matakana Motel is located in the heart of Matakana Village, home to the vibrant Saturday Farmer’s Market. There are 17 newly refurbished units consisting of seven studios and ten two-bedroom self-contained family units all with air-conditioning.
Motel facilities include a small kid’s playground & trampoline, tepid saltwater pool, BBQ’s, guest laundry, SKY TV, gym facilities and unlimited WIFI. Our private walkway takes you straight into the centre of town, walking distance to restaurants, bars 45 minutes’ drive north of Auckland and one hour south of Whangarei.

Matakana Motel is only 100 steps to Matakana Village, and 50 minutes by car from the city centre. Matakana is also accessible from Auckland by bus.

Peak season and summer period is from mid November to late April, winter period is May through to October. Summer is the best time to explore the beautiful beaches and bays of Matakana Coast.
