If you forget your picnic, don’t you worry, there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the Long Bay Village just a 5minutes drive away.
Finally, it's worth mentioning that Long Bay Regional Park is well-maintained and offers plenty of facilities to make your visit comfortable. There are toilets and showers available, as well as a selected parking area for campervans, vehicle units and caravans with a Self-Containment Certificate (SCC) for those who want to spend the night.

The park is just a short drive from Auckland's city centre. Simply take the Northern Motorway (State Highway 1) and exit at the Long Bay exit. Follow the signs to the park, and there is ample parking available on-site. Alternatively, you can take a bus to Long Bay Regional Park which depart from Auckland's city centre.
