In true country spirit, Kumeū Showgrounds pulls out all the stops for its much-anticipated event calendar. The rustic grounds are most famous for putting on the Kumeū Show, one of the largest annual shows in the southern hemisphere. If you’ve ever been keen to experience an agricultural show, this is the time to dust off those gumboots.
Throughout the year, Kumeū Showgrounds transforms into a picturesque backdrop for festivals, expos, craft fairs and open-air markets. Chuck on your gumboots to enjoy some of the biggest shows in the country, from the Kumeū Classic Car & Hot Rod Festival to the annual Monster Fireworks Display.
While the flat grassy grounds are typically the star, you’ll find many events take advantage of the four barn-like sheds on the property. Their exposed beams, high ceilings and concrete floors are so very Kumeū – charming, hospitable and the perfect backdrop for country-style events.
