Jonathan Grant Gallery

Jonathan Grant Gallery has been operating as a dealer gallery in Auckland, New Zealand, since 1984. The gallery specialises in British and New Zealand paintings and sculptures dating from the 19th to the 21st centuries. Clients are assisted in building their own unique collections, and the gallery provides extensive provenance and scholarly backgrounds for each artwork, while also providing advice on framing, hanging, and all other aspects of collecting.

Jonathan Grant Gallery is situated (through the same entrance) next door to ARTIS Gallery at 280 Parnell Road. The gallery offers clients a selection of both classical and contemporary art. In 2012, a third space (known as the Basement Gallery) was developed to exhibit the gallery’s sculpture collection. The Basement Gallery offers clients the opportunity to view large scale sculptures and paintings from the stockroom.

Jonathan Grant Gallery prides itself on offering the finest quality works from our diverse stockholdings. We have helped to form important collections for both individuals and public institutions such as London’s National Portrait Gallery, the Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, Auckland, the Alexander Turnbull Library, Wellington, the Dunedin Public Art Gallery, the Suter Art Gallery, Nelson, and the Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū, Christchurch.
