Ghost Street, a subterranean restaurant tucked beneath Cafe Hanoi in Britomart, offers an unparalleled underground dining experience inspired by the charming eateries adorning Beijing's renowned "Ghost Street." This vibrant locale is celebrated for its delectable street food and hot pot, serving as the foundation for Ghost Street's distinctive ambiance.
Ghost Street offers a menu that is just as unique as their style. They aim to spice up your taste buds with dishes from the western cities of Chengdu and Xi'an.
The menu features meats that are melting in your mouth, delicious seafood, fresh greens, sumptuous noodles, and unforgettable desserts.
To order your dishes, simply tick off what dishes you’d like on the menu, then clip your menu to the string hanging above your table to show that you’re ready to order. It's a fun way to plan and sort out dishes to share at your table.
Start off with the Xi’an grilled lamb skewers and the scallop crystal dumplings, and then move on to the Biang Biang pulled noodles with coriander, Chinese chives, wong bok, and chilli oil. If you like it hot, get the snapper fillets poached in a sea of fire—the name says it all! This dish is super-hot!
Choose from Hong Kong-style egg tart, purple kumara "tiramisu," and fried bread and taro roll for dessert.
To wash down all that goodness, a tipple or two is in order. From cocktails to wine or beer, there are heaps of different options to choose from.
You'll find the decor to be stylish, the staff to be friendly, and the food to be delicious.
