The Ellerslie Event Centre enjoys great ambience inside and out, with park-like surrounds and a touch of glam within. Its backdrop is none other than the iconic Ellerslie Racecourse, New Zealand's premier thoroughbred racing venue. How’s a team day at the races sound? 

Its 22 modern function rooms are as memorable as their names, including the sumptuous Jockey Club and The Winning Post – a race day fave. Ellerslie Event Centre certainly goes the distance with functions – and not just with racing in mind. The Tote on Ascot room, a restored 1885 building with beautiful open beans, is a sure winner for weddings, conferences and glittering gala dinners. 

Located only minutes from the motorway, Ellerslie Event Centre offers a central spot for small-to-medium expos, launch parties, galas, Christmas parties, and corporate events.

Ellerslie Event Centre is a 12-20 minute drive from the city centre, located just off State Highway 1. It is also on several bus routes and an 18-minute walk from Greenlane Train Station.

Ellerslie Event Centre is within the grounds of Ellerslie Racecourse, but vehicles will need to enter via Gate 3. If you’re attending an event, ignore the ‘pay and display’ signs – parking is complimentary.
