Movement of the Human’s celebrated choreographer and director Malia Johnston’s (World of Wearable Arts, Belle - A Performance of Air, Auckland Arts Festival) immersive urban dance experience – Tōrua arrives in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland for a very limited season. Her work brings together a wealth of incredible dance artists - Levi Siaosi, Sefa Tunupopo, Kia Jewell, Xin Ji, Jemina Smith, Ella Williams, Andre Busby, Petronilla Su'a and Cameron Holland who hail from across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia.
This stunning dance work will take place over two weekends during April across two of Auckland’s iconic public spaces - Te Komititanga in front of Britomart Station and Aotea Square.
