Each session lasts one hour and includes:
- Gentle warm-up stretches
- Progression to stronger poses, with a focus on flow, balance and breathing
- A calming warm-down with breathing practice, ending with a brief relaxation or meditation.
These sessions are open to those aged 14 years and over, from beginners to more experienced yogis. Bookings are essential as we are not accepting over-the-counter purchases on the day.
Sessions:
5.30–6.30pm class with Penny Hacking
Penny Hacking completed her advanced Hatha yoga teacher training through Ashram Yoga Auckland. She has completed mental health awareness training, holds a current First Aid Certificate and is a member of the New Zealand Registered Exercise Professionals (REPs) and Yoga New Zealand, the national registration body for yoga teachers. Penny is committed to learning through yoga and working with like-minded individuals to enhance a greater balance of physical, mental and emotional well-being and resilience.
7–8pm class with Chrissie Cunningham
Chrissie Cunningham is an acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist, yoga teacher and Enneagram coach. She trained with Tribe yoga in Austria and also with Ashram Yoga Auckland and teaches both live and online yoga sessions. Chrissie’s main style is Vinyasa but other influences include Hatha, Yin and Ashtanga. She has 20 years’ experience as a workshop teacher, specialising in the chakra system.
Condition of participation: please do not register or attend if you currently have any medical conditions, health issues (including injuries, surgeries) or illnesses that could affect your ability to undertake this class safely.
