You know Takapuna shines in the summertime, but be prepared to be dazzled by the way the seaside suburb lights up the colder nights of the year with Takapuna Winter Lights.
The sparkling event takes place annually in the heart of Takapuna across four nights in July, with illumination, music and performance warming up the streets from five to ten each evening.
Admire the sights and sounds and be sure to stop in for a bite or a drink at one or more of the many restaurants and bars along the main drag. The lights are a popular highlight on the Takapuna arts and cultural calendar, with 35,000 people attending last year, so be sure to book early to secure a table at your favourite eatery.
This switched on all-ages outdoor sensory experience is free, accessible, and full of joy and wonder.
